Life Unexpected || Exciting SB News

It's not often that I get the chance to blog about how things are going in my personal life, but recently I've had to make some drastic changes and thought I'd clue you all into what's going on. Back in March, I was told that I was no longer going to be working for the Advertising and Marketing Agency that I'd put almost 3 years into due to the economy. I took this news as an opportunity to pursue the one thing I've been wanting to do for years: create a handmade clothing line. Many people have asked me how I'm able to stay at home and work for myself, presuming that I come from family wealth, have investors or maybe even a rich boyfriend who's giving me money to play with. In reality, I have been working completely out of my personal savings account, independently funding each and every business purchase as well as paying for all personal living and life expenses. It's been a struggle.
This presents me with some good news for all of you! As of this week, I'll begin releasing a couple of the pieces I've been working on and over the summer will continue to create and release new items!!! The pieces will be sold on my Etsy shop for now, and later this summer will be available on an online store, independently hosted and run by myself. Lots of changes are happening and I'm learning so much about myself, small business and the highs and lows of following my dreams but I wouldn't change a thing.

I hope you'll all get the chance to look at the pieces I've been working so hard on and feel very emotionally and artistically connected to. I know you'll love them!
