{Tutorial Tuesday: DIY Ruched Pouch}

This sweet and simple DIY is easy to put together, and so handy. I made one small enough to fit inside my clutch and keep things organized. Lets hop to it!

Supplies Needed:

Cute Fabric

Scissors

Pins

Sewing Machine

6" Zipper

Directions:

Step 1.

Cut 2 bowl-shaped pieces of fabric (rounded across the bottom and flat across the top). Take both pieces and cut a 2" strip across the top.

Step 2.

Find the center of bottom half, rounded fabric, and pinch a small ruche. Pin in place. Pin two more ruched folds in place, one on either side of the center ruche.

Step 3.

Sew your 2" straight strip to your ruched fabric pieces. Trim any uneven edges.

Step 4. Attach Zipper to the top edges of the pouch flaps.

Step 5. Placing the faces of the fabric together, sew along all edges then turn right side out.

Fill with coins, makeup, jewelry or any little thing you have lying around. If you like, adjust the size of your zipper to make the pouch larger or smaller... Even make a matching set! Hope you enjoy!!

{Tutorial: DIY Sunglasses Case}

By now, I'm sure you all know I am obsessed with sunglasses! The worst thing about always having them with me is that they are prone to scratches an scrapes as they toss about in the bottom of my purse! Now, I have a cute solution!! Using an old scarf and some ribbon, I was able to turn my sunglasses case into a cute accessory! 

Supplies Needed:

1 Scarf 

Ribbon

Needle & Thread

Push Pins

Scissors

Step 1. 

Cut your scarf into a square. Fold in half into a rectangle and sew one short edge and the connecting long edge. 

Step 2. 

Fold the remaining opening over about 1". Sew, leaving as much room as possible for the ribbon to slip through. Make sure you leave a small gap for the drawstring effect.

Step 3. 

Feed ribbon through the opening loop and out the other side. Grabbing both ends of the ribbon, tie a tight knot. 

Step 4. 

Place sunglasses in your new scarf case, toss in your bag and enjoy!!
