Spring Fling Week Recap + Giveaway Winners!

Thank you all for being a part of my Spring Fling Blog Party last week! I had a great time coming up with the seasonal style guides, diy's and hearing what you all had to say about what you'd like to see more of from Seablanket in the near future. I'm excited to say that your words have been heard and wishes will soon be granted. The SB blog will be switched up slightly in preparation for the new site launch in the next month and for all the new things going on in the business aspect of my life.

The Spring Fling Blog Party gave me a great outlook to what you, the reader, responds most to, and who my readers really are. I want to work on bringing you the newest looks, tips, and trends in the fashion world as well as advice for those of you wishing to become more involved in your own personal businesses. I want you to be involved in my creative processes as I build my summer collection and your feedback will be greatly appreciated each step of the way.

Rodarte Inspried Spring Hair

I've fallen under the spell of Rodarte's Spring 2011 collection. The whimsy yet futuristic structure and ease are so alluring! While the clothes may be out of my budget, the accessories and hairstyles can be easily replicated. (*I made a video blog but it turned out terribly... let me just talk you through this..)
Before we begin, you'll need the following: Flat iron set to medium heat, 2 bobby pins or 1 barrette, comb, hairspray or finishing spray, 5 minutes.
Start by using your fingers to create an imperfect exaggerated side part. Backcomb both sides of your part towards the front of your face, so that it appears full and frames nicely. Spray into place. Use flat iron to make hair more textured. Add in some waves and texture, spray to hold. Next, pin exaggerated bangs and combed over hair on one side of your head... use a barrette if you have one too! See the video below featuring Elle Fanning : Rodarte's Muse. Nothing could be more exciting to me than the newest neutral designers are calling "Greige." Yep, it's a combo of beige and grey and won't make your skin look sickly. Dark + Dewy Makeup DIY

I love my purple lipcolor from MAC so much that I wanted to encourage you all to try it yourselves. How can I do this without showing you a tutorial that is fail-proof and downright lovely! With four simple products, you can create a beautiful soft, supple + dewy romantic look with a sexy bold lip, wearable for day or night!
Products I used: MAC Lipcolor in Cyber A80, Aveeno Positively Radiant Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 30 in Fair-Light, MAC Matte Eye Shadow in Copperplate, Arbonne Sheer Glow Highlighter.

Black Ice : An Outfit Post

I love layering different black items in my wardrobe. The dimension can be fun and alluring and so chic! Not to mention, thanks to encouragement from one of my closest friends, I also picked up a dark plum toned lipcolor from MAC. It's intense in all the right ways. Don't fear looking like the gothic kids you went to highschool with, just pair the color down with chic and structured elements. I like to pretend that I'm a modern day Wednesday Adams when I wear this lipstick...
