{DIY Romantic Stockings}

I've been seeing these incredible embellished stockings all over magazine racks the past month and I told myself, "Chelsea, you've got to make some of those." So, here I am! It's time to indulge in the romance of lace and spice up your boring stockings. Follow the simple step-by-step instructions and in less than 10 minutes, find yourself with a feminine Fall staple.Supplies Needed:
Ankle, knee-high or thigh-high stockings. A variety of lace and ribbons. Scissors. Needle and thread.Step-by-Step:
Starting off by analyzing the top of your stockings -- do they have a wide hem, short or none at all? Find the ideal placement for your lace and embellishments by aligning it along your stocking's hem line. Begin with one layer of lace ribbon, stretching the hem of your stocking to imitate the size of one's leg and hand stitching the entire way around. Next, add additional styles and pieces of lace by stitching around the full stocking or by bunching the length into little bunches and rosettes and attaching them on top of the first row of lace. Continue adding and embellishments until your desired level of frill is reached. Once you've completed both stockings, slip on and enjoy the romance.
Aren't they fun!? If you're searching out the perfect pair of thigh-high stockings, i'd recommend looking into American Apparel, UO or Target. They've got a lot of selection currently.
