weekend wrap-up

This weekend was incredible! I was able to spend so much time with one of my closest friends, Kevin of Chemistry of Cool! Thursday evening, we went to an Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros concert...it was so much fun! I've never seen a crowd so enthusiastic and genuinely fully of joy! Friday, I worked from Kamp Grizzly, then went on a hike and saw Scott Pilgrim(highly suggest it). Saturday, my sister and I moseyed about the city. It was a lovely, long day. Saturday night, I went to Kevin's house where he made me vegetarian dinner and cupcakes and i was extremely impressed - no food poisoning!! Sunday, I met up with some new friends from Seattle, and had lunch and frozen yogurt! Later, I met up with my good friend Jacque and we went to the Jenny and Johnny show. I also met a sweet reader, tabitha!
Amazing weekend, food, friends, shows, sister//sister time, and I was so sad I had to come home!!! Can't wait till next time PDX!xxoo chelsea

{Weekend Follow-Up}

Hello loves! I've realized just how much I hate Mondays, grr!! This weekend, I found myself in a whole lot of adventure, and I wanted to share with all of you!
Saturday, I hiked Mt. Ashland with a friend. This time of year, it is usually covered in wildflowers and the snow is melted. Well, NOT THIS YEAR! We arrived at the bottom of the trail to find nothing but snow. Lots and lots of snow. Thankfully, we mutually felt we should still hike to the top, and huffed it up the 4-10' snow bank in authentics and converse, with our short-sporting legs.
The view alone, made the hike worth it. The snow-ridden mountain view was breathtaking, as was the temperature. Needless to say, we were completely unprepared, and of course somebody had to get hurt.
These were my legs after....hardcore, eh?!

Sunday, I spent the afternoon with my friend Robin and her little 4-year old monster, Gabe. We had a fun day shopping where I bought this fun summer dress, and then grabbed coffee and enjoyed watching Gabe play in the park.
Hope everyone had fun and adventurous weekends! What'd you do??
Here's to a new week, and new adventures!

{Weekend Follow-Up}

Saturday I felt rather sick and uninspired to get out of bed. I spent the majority of my day eating pizza, watching movies and napping. Today, I put my Picnic Perfect Thursday post to use and go on a fun picnic of my own! I met up with my friend Becca and we brought our feast to a lovely natural outdoor concert amphitheater, called Britt, that is nearby. It's on a hillside, high enough to see across our valley and the blue skies made it even more perfect today. Here are some cute pics we took while enjoying our lovely day.

The only unfortunate thing about the day was when I got home, I noticed I have a pretty bad sunburn. It hurts so bad! My silly fair skin requires constant SPF 45 sunscreen or I will burn. Learned my lesson I suppose.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!

{Weekend Follow-Up}

This weekend was fantastic! I had an amazing time in Portland, OR with friends and my sister.
Friday, my sister, her boyfriend and myself had dinner at the Doug Fir Lounge. It was delicious and we had a lot of fun catching up. After dinner, we headed to Dr. Dog at the Wonder Ballroom, one of my favorite venues in Portland. We met up with some friends and enjoyed the brilliance of one of our favorite bands. The show was amazing, such high energy and crisp performances, I loved it. My favorite part of the whole show was when they encored with "Heart it Races", an Architecture in Helsinki cover. Made my heart melt!

Saturday, I went over to Atlas Tattoo Parlor for my appointment. Spent 5 hours there, and ran out of time but got all the outline and shading done from my elbow down. Excited for my next appointment in a few months, where we'll finish and color my full arm. It's so close to being done!!
The design I got this time around was a man/bear inspired by Nikola Tesla. I absolutely love how my artist captured his face, especially the eyes..

After the tattoo, I headed on down to Kamp Grizzly, for the Johnny Cupcakes Suitcase Tour Party. I met up with my favorite G ever, Kevin from Chemistry of Cool, and got to chat quite a bit with Johnny. The party had an awesome cupcake cannon, great people and sweet treats. It was a joy to attend, and kick it with some of my favorite people.

I have so much respect for this little guy...

So sad the weekend had to end, I always get sad when I have to come home and leave my sister. She's my best friend, and this weekend was really fun to share with her. I'll post more tattoo photos once my arm is less swollen, scouts honor!!

{Weekend Follow-Up}

This weekend, my lovely sister Abby came to town. We had lots of good talks, good fun, good food and good times with friends.
Parade Day!!! Our teeny tiny town has a festival every year celebrating the beginning of Pear season. Our valley was once known as one of the biggest orchard farming areas in the US, so its fun to attend the festivities! We got bored with the parade and walked around being goofy and taking photos. Was a lovely afternoon!

(we really liked the flowers!)
Later that night, Abby and I went out with some friends. We had high tea, desert and lots of laughs and then drinks at a local English Pub. A great evening spent with great friends.
I also got my Immunity Clothing "Still DIY" Hoodie in the mail!! I love Chris Immunity, and his brand. Check it out here!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!! Come back in 2 hours for another fun DIY!
