{Sweet Sunday: Wedded Bliss}

Hello all, today is a Sweet Sunday, indeed - today, my sister is getting married!!!! I am full of joy and excitement and cannot wait to see her walk down the isle. Seeing as we have a funky sort of sisterly love, I've whipped up a sisterly/wedding-ish playlist for her to enjoy and for all of you to laugh along with us! I love you so much sister...Boog!

weekend wrap-up

This weekend was incredible! I was able to spend so much time with one of my closest friends, Kevin of Chemistry of Cool! Thursday evening, we went to an Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros concert...it was so much fun! I've never seen a crowd so enthusiastic and genuinely fully of joy! Friday, I worked from Kamp Grizzly, then went on a hike and saw Scott Pilgrim(highly suggest it). Saturday, my sister and I moseyed about the city. It was a lovely, long day. Saturday night, I went to Kevin's house where he made me vegetarian dinner and cupcakes and i was extremely impressed - no food poisoning!! Sunday, I met up with some new friends from Seattle, and had lunch and frozen yogurt! Later, I met up with my good friend Jacque and we went to the Jenny and Johnny show. I also met a sweet reader, tabitha!
Amazing weekend, food, friends, shows, sister//sister time, and I was so sad I had to come home!!! Can't wait till next time PDX!xxoo chelsea

today, my sister abby strikes once again with a darling diy for you all!!! she is exceptionally talented in the ways of paper crafting and i am excited to try this tutorial myself!! enjoy!
Sister asked me to be her guest tutorialist today. I am super flattered and I hope you all like it.
Last week I created a bunch of paper flowers using scraps and materials I had been saving. I was really pleased by how cute my free project turned out to be. They’re easy to make and take hardly any time at all.supplies needed:
About four to five sheets of paper (old scraps, tissue, or construction paper will work), glue stick, staples, needle, thread, and buttons.

daisy directions:Start with ten paper triangles. Fold two ends together and crease half of the fold. Do this with all ten triangles. The folds will be the petals, the unfolded point will be the center. Starting with one triangle, glue the second triangle on to of it. Glue five triangles together, forming a flower. Do this again with the other five triangles, staggering between the first flower. Sew a button on the middle of the flower, to add interest and added strength. Don’t trim the thread tail on the back of the flower. Use it to attach to something.

dahlia directions:Start with four pieces of paper. Individually fan fold each piece of paper. Staple the folded paper in the center. Trim the ends of the paper to form a point. Wrap thread around the staples, attaching a button to the front and leaving excess thread to hold onto after tying the knot. Then un-fan the pieces of paper, working from top to bottom. Use the excess thread on the back to attach the flower to something.

I plan on working my paper flowers into my upcoming wedding somehow, but in the meantime, I'm going to use these two tutorial flowers to perk up my desk space.

{Weekend Follow-Up}

This weekend, my lovely sister Abby came to town. We had lots of good talks, good fun, good food and good times with friends.

Parade Day!!! Our teeny tiny town has a festival every year celebrating the beginning of Pear season. Our valley was once known as one of the biggest orchard farming areas in the US, so its fun to attend the festivities! We got bored with the parade and walked around being goofy and taking photos. Was a lovely afternoon!

Later that night, Abby and I went out with some friends. We had high tea, desert and lots of laughs and then drinks at a local English Pub. A great evening spent with great friends.
