{Please & Thank You: June 9th}

Bonjour! Welcome back to Please and Thank You, my question and answer weekly post. I've decided to incorporate the current post outline with a previous set of posts I did back in March, I called 'Trying New Things.' It focused on things that I've been enjoying lately, by stepping out of my normal routine and being spontaneous. So, here we go!

Q: Do you recommend going to college? Did you go to college?
A: I would recommend going to college, absolutely. It is where I realized that what I'd dreamed of for years and years wasn't what I really wanted from my life. I attended college for 5 terms, focusing on Acting and Art History. It felt terrible when I realized that the reason I loved acting so much was because of the people I was able to spend time with, not my actual talent and the rush of the stage. I also tried Cosmetology school when Acting didn't work out....I also quit that as I saw no meaning in it for myself. All has concluded in where I am today, with a great job at a great company, where I have opportunity for success and enough free time to have a life outside of work.
I suppose I'd say this, go to college, and try to find what you want to do. If it can't be found in college, at least you've tried, and that says lots about your character. Shoot for the stars, no matter what!

Q: How did you get such a following?
A: I'm not sure, to be honest. Blogging is not like myspace or twitter where you can be false about your identity in order for people to like you, I feel it's quite the opposite. Bloggers are more attracted to the unique/awkward/individual qualities one may posses. If you are seeking out more followers, I suggest you be the best YOU can be, and let it shine. Copying someone else will just ruffle feathers, instead find what you can do well, and let everyone know. People will respond positively indeed.

Q: What are some of your favorite snack foods?
A: I LOVE fresh fruit and veggies. Frozen grapes are amazing, also bell peppers and baby carrots..yum! They are definitely my favorite. As for junk food snacks, chips kind of control my life, I love salt and vinegar the most, mmm!

Q: How do you feel about red hair?
A: I love red hair. I had auburn hair for the holidays and last summer is was quite red. I'm a friend to the gingers!

Q:Do you realize how much information about yourself you give out on your blog? Scary!
A: I do give out personal information, but I feel that it's nothing more than someone could find on google. With the information on the internet these days, it's a free-knowledge. I do appreciate the concern though...it's nice to know that people have my back. As for the future, I'll be very careful with what information I give out. Thank you, sincerely.

Q: It's not really a question... I just wanted to tell you I've followed your blog for what seems like forever and I adore it. You've really inspired me and I think your an amazing person. Congrats to your Etsy, can't wait to see it.
A: Thank you so much. I am so touched by the kindness of people the last few weeks. All of the encouragement and faith in me has been like a big bear hug of love. I'm completely overwhelmed by all of the people who have shopped my etsy and given suggestions, or positive feedback. It's made my heart very full. ♥

Q: This is a long winded question, here goes: i am veryy tiny. so usually when people find vintage or make clothes, i can't get them because of my size. i was wondering if you would consider accepting measurements and then making custom items?
A: Absolutely I would. Email me, and we can talk details.

Q: Hey there! I was just curious - what do you have on your "bucket list"?
A: Oh my goodness, I've never actually created one, but I've always wanted to. Lets see....I'll name a few:
1. Walk through Petra, Jordan
2. Rescue an injured animal
3. Tour India
4. Go cliff jumping
5. Open my own boutique
6. Find a hidden treasure
7. Meet Johnny Depp
8. Sing on a stage for an audience
9. Move out of the country
It's hard thinking of these things, but now I really want to make a list of 100 things!

-------------This last week, I've tried a lot of new things:--------------
1. Etsy
Opening my Etsy was one of the greatest accomplishments of my life. Just the fact that I'm 100% in control of this, it feels very liberating. I'm loving it!

2. Eat Your Heart Out
Over the weekend, I ate like royalty! So much food, but was able to experience a lot of things I wouldn't usually try. All in all, I gained 5 pounds and it was worth every one!

3. 22nd Birthday
I usually get very depressed around holidays or celebratory events, but this year I've decided to be positive and enjoy the special days. The same was true of my birthday. I was able to spend it with all my loved ones, and see my favorite band Thrice live. It was one of my favorite birthdays ever, and so lovely to spend it with my friends.

4. Reading Rainbow
I'm making a list of books that I've wanted to read for a long time. This summer, I hope to read a book a week and spend less time in front of the TV and more time reading beautiful stories.

Thank you all for stopping by to read what's new in my life. I will be posting part 1 of a two part DIY later today. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!
