{Sponsor Highlight : Boardwalk To Eden}

Each month, I want to celebrate and appreciate each one of my sponsors in a Sponsor Highlight post which focuses on who they are and what they do! Today, I'm highlighting the inspiring Boardwalk To Eden! I asked Cal to share a little bit about herself with the Seablanket blog family and here's what she had to say:Where to start? I am Cassandra A. Loynd, my only nickname is Cal & I am born and raised in Southern California. (literally born in East LA...I love singing it).
  • I am an art school dropout, I went for three years studying Graphic & Interior Design and want to return some day to finish my Graphic Design degree.
  • I am a true nature girl but a lover of bold colors, because of this (you'll see once my shop opens) I love to mix natural textures (woodgrain etc) with bright bold jewel tones.
  • I have a very strong love of typography. & I love to get inspiration from the old, the used (which is why I cannot pass up a good thrift/vintage store).
    I am a drafter/designer by day & an etsy shop owner by night. My shop will be opening sometime this month (most likely near my birthday). The shops beginnings will be modest, prints that I do of random scenery & fun little characters. I will also be doing a 3 print series with all proceeds going to The Cove OPS fund & Sea Shepherd's Taiji Dolphin Slaughter fund. As the shop ages it will also expand & mature...of course.
  • I draw because I always have. If you track the progress of my art since I was about 4 years old you can see that my style is very "me", no matter what stage I'm at in art I always go back to my roots. I decided to open an etsy shop because I figured, why not? I was getting enough praise & "I want" 's that I decided that maybe I could make a profit from these. From then it was just building my name & deciding to do art for awareness. If I'm doing something people like, why not contribute to those who need what I can offer. It's just a love of art combined with a love for sharing.
CaL, you are a true inspiration. Please check out Cal at her blog Boardwalk to Eden or her twitter, and keep an eye out for her Etsy shop opening soon! Thanks Cassandra for sponsoring!!
