{F.Kids Interview}

As some of you know, I was recently interviewed for a German Street Style Magazine called F.Kids Are Older. The interview, found here, is in German, and I've had lot of people ask what it said...so here is the interview in English... Hope you enjoy! Go to the F.Kids Site sometime!! They have wicked cute vintage clothing and a great blog lead by the fashion editor, Doreen, who is the sweetest!

name: Chelsea Dancer
blog address/website: http://seablanket.com
location: Oregon, USA
age: 21
your profession: Account Coordinator at an Advertising and Marketing Firm

Doreen: How would you describe your style?:
Chelsea: Very monochromatic and simple. I believe that textures and accents make the outfit. The majority of my wardrobe is black and sleek so I incorporate colors through single accent pieces. well-fitting vintage or thrifted pieces rule my wardrobe.

Doreen:
what's the best place to party in your town?
Chelsea: My House;)

Doreen:
do you have a style icon / someone you admire for his/her style?
Chelsea: I'm a huge fan of Freja Beha Erichsen (post haircut). In my eyes, she can do no wrong. Also, I get a lot of vintage inspiration from Anna Karina.

Doreen:
Any big aim you want to achieve in 2010?
Chelsea: Finishing my full-sleeve tattoo and opening my own one-of-a-kind handmade online store. I want to do some traveling and try new things...that's a new moto of mine.

Doreen: Where do you find inspiration for your style?
Chelsea: I am often inspired by old films. Anything by Jean Luc Godard, or Alfred Hitchcock...even Blake Edwards. The quirky style of the women in their films is always inspirational.

Doreen: What is your vintage must-have this season?
Chelsea: envelope clutches and high-waisted pencil jeans. Perfect for any season!

Doreen: anything you can recommend to our readers as your personal secret tip? (f.ex. a new band, place, magazine you just discovered)
Chelsea: I don't have a magazine, place, or band to share, but I think that the #1 tip when it comes to being fashionable is to trust your intuition. If something isn't "in," don't stress it. Be bold and wear what you like regardless...be a trend starter, not follower. My only suggestion is to wear pieces that fit well. Tailoring an item can transform a look.

This was my first-ever interview for any sort of publication, but I loved the opportunity, and hope to do more in the future!
