I've had a collection of vintage appliques sitting in my craft locker for years and didn't know what to do with them, but I think I've found just the thing. I love this hairpin I made....and it's easy as 1, 2, 3!!
Supplies Needed:
1 Cute Applique
Felt
Lace
Hot Glue Gun (or Needle & Thread)
Hairpin or Clip
Step 1.
Using your hot glue gun, attach your applique to your felt. Cut out around your applique so you have a small border of felt behind it. Using a complimentary color adds a nice POP!
Step 2.
Turn your appliqued felt over and glue your lace onto the back. Make sure to pleat it as you go, so it looks more rouched.
Step 3.
Add a felt strip onto the backside of your applique. Glue (or sew) a hairpin or clip on that felt strip, and *BOOM* you're done!!! Throw in your hair or onto a hat or scarf and work it!
I think I may have to make more of these and put them on my Etsy. All the designs are so unique and so cute! If you have any questions, please let me know!
