{Tutorial: DIY Hardware Necklace}

This hardware necklace was inspired from a necklace I have from the 1970s, that I enjoy so much!!! This is a fun, super easy DIY, and only cost me $1.5o to make!!! Enjoy...

Supplies Needed:
1 Foot of Velvet Chording (Ribbon, Yarn, or any Trimming works too!!)
1 Package of size 1o Washers (I used 30 washers, from 1 package)
Needle and Thread

Step 1.
Making sure all washers face the same way, thread your washers onto your velvet chording.

Step 2.
Using 1 washer, thread both chord ends into the washer and fold over. Tack (sew) both chord ends down into place for a nice closure look.

Ta-da!! Such a cute and simple necklace, that takes 5 minutes. If I were to do this again, I would paint the washers with gold spray paint! The vintage piece I have has 3 different colored chords and i really enjoy the look of it!  Hope you enjoy!!
